Urban Dwell is an independent, veteran-owned, boutique gift shop featuring carefully curated merchandise following the latest trends in home decor, women's and men's accessories, books and stationery, kitchen items, baby gifts and more.  Merchandise spans the spectrum in variety and price range, offering unique, hard to find and interesting gift designed by both local and worldwide artists and designers.  If you need a gift for anyone, of any age, for any occasion, we have you covered!

Urban Dwell is owned by Tom McMahon and opened doors in 2015 in the hip D.C. neighborhood of Adams Morgan.  After 22 years of active-duty service, Tom retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2014 as an Intelligence Officer in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.  He resides in Mclean, VA with his wife Katie and two daughters, Keegan and Finley.  Tom and the shop have been featured by the U.S. Small Business Administration and SCORE, a mentorship program for former military personnel.
